Cherryville Tax Clinic

The Cherryville Income Tax Clinic is available and free for low income and basic tax returns. Our volunteers are able to do multi-year taxes so if you are needing to catch up on prior years, that is not a problem!

Starting March 7th – April 6th, CCF&RS will be doing a Drop-off/Pick-Up Tax Clinic.

Cherryville residents can bring their tax paperwork to our office during open hours; volunteer tax preparers will file your returns and call you when ready to pick up!

Please bring your tax paperwork to the Cherryville Resource Center building at: 158 North Fork Road, Cherryville BC, V0E2G3

OPEN: Monday 9-2, Tuesday 8-12, Wednesday & Friday 8-2

Lennon Adkins was hired in the summer of 2020 to help with the development, maintenance, and harvest of this years Community Garden. He has been hard at work alongside Peter and Renske, who have graciously dedicated a piece of their land for the establishment of this garden. Our Community Garden continues to be an incredible resource, providing fresh, organic produce that goes straight to our residents. There has already been roughly 500 lbs of  food harvested and distributed to local residents and we are only half way through the season. Not only has the Community Garden contributed to our mission for increasing food security but also provides educational and employment opportunities to our local youth.  Peter and Renske could not be better mentors and Lennon has proven to be an incredible young man, a very hard worker, and a wonderful student to work with.

This summer student position is funded by Service Canada through the Canada Summer Jobs program.

Thank you to Food Banks Canada for supporting Cherryville Community Food & Resource Society with a very generous grant, with
funding through Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s Emergency Food Security Fund. The food security services we provide would not be possible without your incredible support.

Photos are of our 2021 Christmas Hamper & Gifts for Children Event. Thanks to Food Banks Canada, we were able to purchase food to fill 70 hampers! This is an increase compared to previous years and a testament to how COVID-19 continues to impact our community. Thank you again for your ongoing support!

The students from Cherryville Elementary School who helped the Cherryville Community Food & Resource Society set up and prepare hampers for the Christmas Hamper & Gifts for Children event. Thank you all!

Cherryville Community Food and Resource Society has an INCREDIBLE team of volunteers who support our vision and mission for increasing access to programs and services within the Cherryville area. Our 2024 focus is to strengthen our current volunteer base and actively recruit for new members. Some exciting things we do with our volunteers include regular “coffee breaks”, socializing events, and appreciation gestures. Without our volunteer team, the work we do in Cherryville would not be possible and we want to take a moment to highlight the incredible people part of our organization. Below are photos from our BBQ Social where volunteers were invited to bring their families and enjoy burgers, ice cream, and games.
